Onscreen History of AMAZO

The amazing Amazo made his debut in 1960's The Brave and the Bold #30. The android creation of Dr. Ivo was able to replicate the powers of those he encountered, including the Justice League.

In 2003, Amazo would make his onscreen appearance in the second season Justice League episode, Tabula Rasa. After adapting all of the League members' powers, Amazo evolved and left Earth which was lucky for the League who may not have been able to defeat him.

Unfortunately for the Justice League, a determined and unstoppable Amazo came back in the Justice League Unlimited episode The Return. Having evolved even further, Amazo proved more than a match for the expanded League and the Green Lantern Corps in his quest to capture his former manipulator, Lex Luthor.

In Batman: Under the Red Hood a more traditionally designed Amazo made an appearance only to be defeated at the hands of Batman and Nightwing. Although Amazo had apparently learned to use heat vision, he had not yet adapted invulnerability.

Amazo would serve as a biased umpire in Batman: The Brave and the Bold as the Justice League played baseball with the Legion of Doom.

In Young Justice, the team would square off against the android possessing many of the League's powers, though Amazo was limited to one power at a time and also by the need to protect his creator Dr. Ivo.

Most recently, Dr. Ivo's newest creation Exterm-O appeared in a pair of comedic Vibe shorts. Amazo having been defeated, Extrem-O, the next iteration of the Amazo android line, was built to defeat Vibe in a dance off.
