Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Gulliver's Gigantic Goof

This episode holds a very special place in my heart. Somehow it found its way into the rerun rotation when I was a kid, and I still remember being introduced to Green Arrow for the first time. I always hoped he would turn up again, but this was his one and only Super Friends showing. In fact, even though his sidekick Speedy had appeared in the Filmation Teen Titans series, this was Green Arrows first onscreen appearance.

Although the plot was an old cliche, the super heroes got shrunk, this episode did something no previous Super Friends had. It did not lag. I am not going to claim this was Shakespeare, but its not just nostalgia that made this a good episode. There weren't any leisurely activities to voyeur in on, or lectures to endure, just a straightforward plot that saw each Friend tricked and captured one at a time, followed by a nice intro to the Emerald Archer. It was sort of funny the scientist, a distinctive "Igor" type named his cat Igor, while he was the not so subtle Gulliver. One final note, the villain plan was actually not too poorly thought out. I mean, if everyone on Earth was shrunk, we really wouldn't notice would we, as long as all our stuff was shrunk too, and we would have a lot more natural resources available. I say give Gulliver the Nobel!
